South Texas Aussie Rescue, Inc. (STAR) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) adoption and referral service dedicated to placing abandoned Aussies with new, permanent homes.  All of the Aussies available for adoption have been temperment and health checked, spayed/neutered, are heartworm checked (and treated if positive) and are current on their vaccinations and heartworm preventative. If a suitable dog is found for you, we do ask for a small adoption fee of $250.00 to help us cover any medical work we've done and to help us continue helping other Aussies in need.
 
To help us better find the right match between you and the dogs we have available, please complete this application and then click on the send button at the bottom of the page to submit your application. **Please note that this form will not work for AOL users, so please contact Kristi Muck at  Info@staraussierescue.org  for an application to be sent to you**  After a representative has reviewed your application and the references listed have been checked, you will be contacted to set up a home visit with a representative of STAR and to discuss any dogs we may have available for you. We do, however, reserve the right to refuse an applicant for any reason.

Also, please keep in mind when inquiring about adopting an Aussie that STAR does not ship dogs to people sight unseen.  Once approved for adoption and if a good match is found, potential adopters are required to come out here to Houston, TX where the dogs are located to meet them in person before deciding whether or not to adopt.  This is not only in the best interest of the dogs but for the adopters as well, and we appreciate your consideration and understanding on this matter.
